Armour Stand Statues datapack by Phssthpok

This datapack allows players to pose armour stands and adjust settings such as showing or hiding the arms, whether the armour stand is visible and whether it is subject to gravity.

The system uses a book with clickable links so that the players do not need to be given OP privileges to operate it.

To install the datapack, navigate to the save folder for the world and place the armour_statues.zip file in the datapacks folder.

To activate the system, use the command /function as_statue:setup This will place a command block (in a bedrock box) below where you are standing with a button on a block above. Pressing the button will then enable the system for the nearest player and give them the book.

Note that each player must have the system enabled for them individually. Simply getting the book from someone else will not work.

To use the book, stand within three blocks of an armour stand and click one of the red or green coloured links in the book.

On the last page there are Seal/Unseal links which lock the armour stand, make it invulnerable (in survival mode at least) and prevent items from being added or removed. These are for moderators only and require the player to be in creative mode.

This system has a tick function which is executed each game tick to check if any player has clicked a link in the book and to trigger the necessary processing for that player. The overhead should not be significant but if you want to call the tick function less frequently you will need to disable the automatic call by deleting the tick.json file from the data/minecraft/tags/functions folder within the datapack and call the as_statues:tick function from your own clock function.
